I'm not making any money.

Well I made 16 cents so far with adsense. I made the 16 cents in the first day from one click. My blog was made about 2-3 weeks ago and when I got that first click I was thinking, hmmm in a month, I should be making at least a dollar a day. Well, looks like thats not happening any time soon. I am patient but I'm just really asking for help. My website is http://www.convolve.blogspot.com
I really need some one to give me advice and tips on how to make this thing work. Am I not getting traffic because its a blogspot domain or is it just because I'm doing something wrong?

 

You are going to need more content and less ads to get your readers coming back.

 

why would anyone want to go to your blog? its full of ads and in other words a crap site.. i'm not trying to be insulting but just saying it how it is.

you need to think to your self, would you subscribe or link to a blog that looked like that?

then start promoting your site

 

That site has more AdSense than content. That's a surefire way to make people think the content is crap. And they didn't come to your site for the AdSense, so it's not like they'll be back or link to it. Bottom line: no money for you.

 

So just take off all the ads and I'll get some traffic?

 

You have almost on content on that site. If you want more traffic, you will have to publish more original content.
That way people will find your site in Google. When you have the content, build some backlinks in order to improve your SERP.

 

Thats another thing, where do I find SERP and I heard backlinks can get you banned or something like that

Text content is your friend, do include it, it really will help the se's find your site.

I have a blog thats about 4 days old, ive posted 4 ample sized posting, all text, split into paragraphs properly and not missed a day posting yet, no images in the posts and no ads yet.

Because getting the content right and some backlinks is the important part, when i do introduce some ads, they will have something to go on with all of the relevant text already in place.

Treat it like building a house, lay the foundations first before trying to hang the fancy curtains.

 

IT look like a site just for ads by google :O

 

Would YOU visit this site? and bookmark it? Then do a site where you would.

 

I found that adding and writing a few articles really helped my adsense earnings.

I took off some ads and added more posts per page on it. Is it better now or does it still need a lot more work with the ads?

 

You shouldn't even put ads on your site until it becomes popular. You are pissing off your readers for 16 cents. When you have thousands of readers and that 16 cents becomes $1,600... then it's ok.
