Huge Free Traffic from Forums Postings?

Hello everyone,

I am just curious how much and what kind of traffic do you get from forum postings and of course from your signature file.

It is said that forum postings are very efficient free marketing tools. If you are posting in specific, niche forums you get quality, targeted traffic.

Do you agree? What are your experiences in this matter?

I get traffic to my site all the time through forum postings...and best of all, it's free to do. There's nothing to lose, except maybe a few minutes of your time.

 

I get traffic through forum posting. The best thing about it is, I have sites about topics I like. This means when I come to post on tagetted forums, I like the subject.

 

Yups you can check the Refferer information in Google Analytics , but for traffic you must have catchy titles and signature links..

It works but its not serious traffic. If you are planning to live off it you might get disappointed.

 

You will get some traffic, and it will be good quality, but you need other sources of traffic too if you want to be successful

 

Its ok traffic but I wouldnt use it as a primary traffic source.

 

I just bought a $25 per month membership to a big forum. I get to have signatures and an avatar that promotes my site. It has increased my traffic three-fold. I am now in the process of looking for another big forum to do the same thing.

BTW, I don't use this forum for that. I use this one because I enjoy it and have learned a lot here.

 

It does give good traffic and converts well for specific niche forums. I would really recommend signature link marketing.

 

at some forums i get steady traffic from having my signature in line. I dont add it everywhere i post, because i post and visit lots and lots of forums and dont see the need in adding my sig everywhere if its not somewhere i intend on visiting and posting regularly. and places like this one i read wayyyyy more than i post.

 

i would choose to build a forum rather that helping others, how much you can earn for it?!

 

I have no idea... I really doubt people click on signatures, I made mine only because others did...

 

Actually people are clicking on the signature links, if they are made attractive and are tempting people to click on that link. There are sites and members who are receiving a lot of traffic, and targeted traffic from forum postings via their signature file.

There is a way how things has to be done... same applies with the signature files too. Work on it and the results will appear after a while!
