Just a simple tip: Install Firefox for SEO so every time you stumble upon any forums/site you'll definitely determine weather they are using no-follow or do-follow. It'll simply colored by red (The URL/anchor text) if it has no-follow attribute.

Please bear in mind that the value of forum backlinks will be very small, if non-existant, unless you become a respected and recoginizable member of the community and have something worth linking to in your signature.

Most of forums are do follow link

 

These nofollow are for stop leakage of link juice.Forum signatures are dofollow.

Do give your signature link as " DO follow" and maximum forum give you do follow link, but i think in case of blog is not do follow.

Don't all the red links get annoying?

 

Open the source of the page and search for nofollow, if you didn't find this word, then it is do follow forum.
