So I just checked for viruses and spyware, delete all my cookie and internet files and I still can't search google, I get this message everytime I do a search, even for the word "digital point".

If you're on a dynamic IP ADSL line the person before you might have abused Google and you inherited their IP.

If you haven't done anything wrong then just turn the modem off and on again to renew your IP lease.

Don't worry I've seen this warning too. It was at my school. Forget why. I think I was using a proxy.

Do you have anything like that? IP changers? Turn them off then.

If your IP is static then there's little you can do about it. It probably takes time to fix.

In the meantime download Spybot S&D and Adaware and clean your computer up!

Well if your banned, Google never permanetly bans a IP, just wait a hour or two, (or three.) If you have been doing automatic requests google tries to block it.

If you have dynamic Ip, you can just turn off your modem for 15 secounds and turn it back on and everything will be fine.

This happened to me too once. When you are doing actions that may look like what a bot would do, google don't like it.
I was searching for something on domains with a specific extension and opened (manually) all the links on the first 50 pages of results.
After trying to get to the next page of results i got the exact same message that you got. I stopped, came back 2 hours later and everything was fine. Just take a break for the night and come back tomorrow, it should be fine ;)

This is sometimes caused by utilising automated SEO software which generates too many requests from Google. The temp message usually disappears if you take your whole system offline for a few hours. :)

I get this occassionally too. It seemed to start when I began using ad word analyzer. It affects all PCs on my home network. I have cleaned everything.

Are you running any automatic search query software/SEO tool? Your IP has been (temporarily) blacklisted because you have been abusing the system (too many searches from your IP). Just stop for some time and it should get back to normal soon.

I have heard of this happening when you run a lot of consecutive search queries - say when your using software to check serp ranks for multiple keywords.

I have also heard of them giving a serp penalty for doing this also - have you lost rankings lately along with your ability to search?
