The blog does not look professional, you should get a theme for the blog and the content looks cluttered you need some negative space to make it easier to read the text on the page. Your page rank is not related to your traffic in any way, you should try to build high quality backlinks to improve your rankings in the serp, forget about page rank, your page rank will increase over time.
1) Get rid of ALL ads. Until the blog is established, it doesn't make any sense to have million adsense boxes there. It will just encourage people to leave. 2) It looks very cluttered. Choose bigger, sans-serif type font. Make bigger space between content and sidebar. 3) Get rid of the bird picture - what is that supposed to mean? 4) You might consider getting your own domain and building blog there but that is not a must. Blogspot blogs can become successul, too. 5) Forget about Pagerank for now. Concentrate on building great content, building related quality backlinks (not ton of backlinks, just few good ones will do better). 6) You might consider getting some better theme but that is also not important now.
Well it won't be easy... but on the other hand, it's not unrealistic. With enough pashion and good attitude, it can be achieved.
