I have to ask. Is anyone making a killing off of PPC and natural search combined? I am doing really well with natural search and have to ask the pros how I would benefit by adding a few PPC campaigns to the mix.
You have to be careful with PPC because it could eat your earnings very fast, but of course it works.
Actually, more than 90% of affiliates lose money and give up within three months. I don't see, therefore, how 30% of affiliates make a fortune.
That's because 90% of affiliates do not bother doing any keyword research and bid on the most popular keywords such as "learn spanish" and spend $1 per click which they send to a one page website so it's no wonder they go broke and give up. PPC requires a lot of research, following the QS rules, improving CTR, and of course trial and error. Once you can get your clicks down to $0.10-$0.15 for a product that pays out $70-$100 in commission it's easy to see how you can make a fortune with Adwords and PPC.
If you work on keywords and landing pages you can make good money. It takes work and making sure your find good keywords at low cost
I didn't say that you can't make a fortune. I said that it's impossible for 30% of all affiliates to make a fortune when more than 90% of them give up.
Check out this blog, this guy made over $2 million with clickbank and adwords last year. Click "About Me" on the site. http://www.superaffiliatemindset.com/
Google Adwords is the best way to promote CB products but only if you are willing to spend and to be prepared to lose the money at first due to experiment of your ad copies.
Reapr, a question? If you are doing really well with natural search, why are you considering PPC at all? Search Engine traffic is free, PPC is a long way from it. If everyone could get on Google's first page, there really are no need to spend all that money on PPC. Obviously you are doing something right. If I were you I would keep building my SE traffic to increase profit Rolf
most definetly. adwords and a great affiliate product is a great and easy way to make money however test test test and make sure you know what you are doing to start out.
I'm still new to this and trying what I can. Using long tails, putting keywords into ad groups and such. Made a sale of $30.49 in about 14 clicks, which cost $0.05-$0.06 each. Just experimenting for now. Would love to some day get to the daily sales level.
