A Missouri car dealer said on Thursday sales have soared at his auto and truck business since launching a promotion this week that promises buyers a free handgun or a $250 gas card with every purchase. Max Motors, a small Butler, Missouri dealership that has as its logo a grimacing cowboy wielding a pistol, has sold more than 30 cars and trucks in the last three days, far more than its normal volume. And owner Mark Muller credits his decision to start offering buyers their choice of a $250 gas card or a $250 credit at a gun shop. "This thing has taken off. Sales have quadrupled," said Muller. The store sells both used and new vehicles including General Motors and Ford products. Every buyer so far "except one guy from Canada and one old guy" has elected to take the gun, Muller said. Muller recommends his customers select a Kel-Tec .380 pistol. "It's a nice little handgun that fits in your pocket," he said. I think the gun is a great idea. People around the world need to arm and protect themselves. If they don't the police will sooner or later control you with a police state. I'm glad people in America can freely arm themselves etc, because here in the UK hardly any one does and the police ABUSE their powers to the max. Believe me if some one broke in to my house, I would kick the living daylights out of them and bring the police. If I had a gun - I would use it if need be. We're being herded up like sheep by the government. I don't promote violence and certainly don't want gang crime and guns etc, but people do need arms to protect themselves! Why would the crime rate soar just because someone is giving away a free gun with the purchase of a vehicle?? That don't make sense at all, when criminals are buying guns in alley ways and even right on main streets in some cities everyday! Getting one free with your car isn't going to make you go out and commit a crime! When it gets to where only the police and the criminals have guns, regular people are going to be in a world of trouble! Seems like the police are only around when you don't want them to be, like when you've gotten over the speed limit or not seen a stop sign etc No criminal or murderer is going to try to rob or kill you when a policeman is standing there to protect you! If we can't protect ourselves or our families that's when the crime rate will soar! Criminals won't be afraid to do something when they know you don't have anything but your fists to fight back with!
