Scammer on DP - I can't belive this ..

Subject: Scammer on DP uses hacked PayPal account to commit purchases on DP of Domains names and Websites and other goods.

    User name on file: pterodactil

I sold to him a domain name ZGUR.com via PayPal, the transaction was reversed claiming it was not authorized.

Right now PayPal reviews the dispute.

This user on DP is placing bids and bin's anywhere he can, just check
    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/search.php?searchid=12307628

The user claims "he no longer has the domain name on GoDaddy because it was *disappeared*, hence he opened a dispute"

I'm asking anyone on DP with same situation to ask DP for the user's IP address for further reference on claims and ICANN.

he also tried to buy a domain name called BigSpot.net , i asked him to place a bid on sedo, he said that he would prefer to stay anonymous.

    Robert

Paypal? Did you say Paypal? You've been here for nearly 15 months yet you haven't noticed the daily 'scammed' posts, not to mention the sticky posts? My, oh my:(

there's tons of scammers on here, you just have to trust no one unless they have a really high itrader.

i think you should call up godaddy for support
i was facing the similar situation but i was using Name.com so name.com changed the email id and then i recovered my domain.
That was a sigh of relief for me.
I think you will get support from godaddy also - Just mention godaddy to check the IP address during the registration of that domain so that they will get to know the original owner
    Hope this helps....:)

Ow great I guess scammers have been practicing very well this kind a scam in buying domain name now a days. I don't think they can be stop that easily but I guess they could be avoided if only buyers and sellers investigate first very well before transactions...

I am no GOD to punish them but I hope and pray that someday they will also be scam BIG time :D. I hate scammers, they really got a stupid and non human idea of making money.

    Sorry for your loss bro...

if i leave negative itrader he will leave me one as well, i don't like negative itraders for nothing.... and seems like dp doesn't care if scammers exist here or not....

and also, no, godaddy will not help me on that, they said because it's a third party related here (PayPal) they can't help me out... i should fill up a claim on ICANN but it costs money i think

leave him some red rep, then when you can, hit him again and again.
and make sure you do it in an area where it counts the most.

If I'm honest I find it funny that you got scammed :D

You're not willing to use the itrader system for what it was intended for. Someone else is going to deal with him, see his itraders are clean and get scammed too and its solely your fault. Hopefully paypal keep your money
