one of the member here in DP suggested that

how many of you do that ? i personally feel that it's a bit spammy ... but it is good for seo .... how many of you put keywords in the name field instead of your name ?

I did that in many top blogs. And 99% of them are ok with keyword on title. After all they need visitors and comments to make their blog look busy:)

If it looks or smells like spam then it is. ;) To assume GoogleBot can't tell the difference between blog comments and regular backlinks is rather silly; it would be hard to adjust an aglorithm to notice this and de-value it.

That's actually one of the not-so-popular SEO trick... and I only use KWs as name when I add comments on related articles or pages

It is not spammy if you use "keyword" instead of "name" in the post comments on blog. Every time I do a link building I usually use that technique because it is possible "keyword ranking" for a site. I also use it in forum and social media site.

So do you think googlebot can detect it, but it is hard to reflect to serp because of it is hard to adjust aglorithm?

This is a fairly common method of building backlinks, and one of my favorites. Make sure the blogs you post on have dofollow blog comments or it's worthless, though.
