$35 by paypal Header Contest for a video games site

I will pay $35 by paypal to the winner.
Please have a look at the present website here. For logo, please get the idea from our recent contest contest or you can design your own. Its up to you. I am not too particular about the logo as long as it looks elegant, its ok with us.

The space is limited. The space available for the design is just above the black line--the line above the grey menu where we have the six menu names, starting with Video Games. The links just under the bar must be adjusted somewhere. Please avoid buttons etc for links, unless you really have to.


We would like the header to do three things for us. It should have the logo, work as a banner and should present our links in a decent way. You can move around the sections, create your own header idea of integrating these three or do whatever you like. You are free to be as creative as you can be. The important thing is that if we make changes in future, one section shouldnt affect others. If we replace logo, the rest will remain same or if we replace the middle banner or links, then the over all site should not be affected.
We will need a PSD file.

These are the requirements. Payment will be made within 24-48 hours after winning. Payment will be made before I get the final file.

I am not entirely sure where you are asking us to make the design for.

Is it in the Blue, the Green or the Red area that you are asking us to put the logo?

 

Hello there,
The area you have highlighted in red and above is open for redesign of the header. I am sorry if its not very clear but the 2nd paragraph explains this to some extent.

 

You have Game testing 2 times in a row and Testing games at the end, do you want all these as links?

The space open for redesign is actually all the space above the grey tabs. All those links you have add up there are the tabs below the design area and we cannot touch those at this time. The red box you have drawn up there and all the area in that red box and above is open for redesign. Even the links below the very top red row and the red row itself is open for design too. I hope its clear this time.

Thats a definite improvement than what we already have. I am looking for something that will make the flow of the site very smooth. Its a shopping cart site and I would like more of a corporate face.
Thanks Top but place give it a little more corporate and simplistic view.

You are very much on the track. I am going to put a banner inside the header as well. Can you just copy and paste a banner there inside the header. The header color combinations should be in line with what we already have.

Also, plz make the logo text more corporate type. You can have a look at what we already have in this template


Plz give some more thought to the red space you have created on the left.

Pretty much same info for you as well like for d3sign3r.

I think both of you are close enough. Please refine your designs. I am sure one of you two can be a winner. However, if you guys could come up with something compelling, I will pay $10 for the 2nd runner so that there is some compensation.

thetop1, thanks for the updates. Much better but please remove the shoppingfromjapan.com from banner. Also, reduce the height of the black row with menu inside.
Lets work with the 3rd image you have.

If you look at the 3rd image, the logo is very dominant and large. Can you please try to wrap it around sun with the cart inside. I mean type it there as a dome, all around the sun. It probably will give it a different look at as well. You probably could type it in white and the dot com in black. But plz do not increase the size of the sun. Please try logo text around the sun with a couple different color combinations and see how it will look.

Its monday and probalby I may not get a chance to stop by, so there may not be any feedback from me till late tonight jp time.
