Because if you had another $15,000 you could buy my site here $65,000 pm me if your intrested $60,000 for cash lol
You know theres alot of established megasites out there some of which range from 2-3 letter .com's to old school .com names (gardens.com Romance.com etc) Are good investment would be to purchase a single word .com or net with intrinsic value which happens to also be an established megasite with proof of solid income say 2-5k a month. Even if the site were to fall from the Alexa tree its natural value would support the 50k investment cost. A while ago I saw boats.com and schools.com at premium auctions with a starting bid of 3k. So there are always hot specials floating around the net you just need to find them at the right time and place. A reliable domain broker could help you find what you a looking for since its there business to know what domain names/website businesses are floating around the net.
Well like someone said earlier, with that much to invest, buy gold as its increasing daily. Dont believe me - look at the new paper every morning for 1 week and you will see. Within the next 5 years that 50K gold will become a good 140-200K which is a good investment!
If I had so much then I would have only invest ~$100 in internet to buy myspace resource script and promote it. people here are saying that the time to make myspace resource site has gon but in my view it'as jsut coming as it is becoming the largest searching term in google..So, I would go for myspace resource site. And with remaining money I would start promoting the site.and I thin around $5000 is full enough for such sites.
You could Invest to: Gold Properties Domain or Buy a great Websites with High Revenue/month and have a high PR (PR7) so you could sell Link there
Oil has gone up like crazy reaching over $130 per barrel now, but gold price has not risen in tantum with oil, so there is an abnormally here which you should take advantage of, meaning that gold will shoot up soon, so go buy some gold, preferably gold stocks which will rise more than if you buy physical gold.
Hahaha surprised there was really only the one, but seriously these types of posts only bring out the leeches, I mean look at the above post, I wouldn't give him $1 for it. Do what you want with it, you're never going to get an answer that you really want here, unless it's investing - but the choices are obvious.
If you truely do have 50K to invest into a business, what are you doing asking on a webmaster forum? If your willing to tell me where you got 50K from il give some sensible advice, if its the banks money id want to put together a tight plan. Why do you want to invest up to 50K? What past business have you been involved in so far?
Dump your $50K in Berkshire Hathaway, managed by Warren Buffett, the richest man in the world. By the time you retire, you will have millions to live comfortably on.

I wouldn't invest the money online at all. I would buy an acre of desert property (if it were me, I'd choose the Southwest US, but any desert property will do, as long as it is grid-tied) and spend the rest on bulk solar modules, selling for $3/watt in bulk. With your budget, you could produce 10 KW/hour during the solar day, or approximately 100 KW/day. That power can in many places be resold to local power companies, Tucson, AZ is one such place. OR, you could use that solar power to operate servers and move in on the green hosting market. Hosting providers which operate on pure solar power are rare and expensive, but it could be done economically on cheap desert land. Ecological websites need to use green hosting, the supply doesn't meet the demand at all. I ought to know. I researched for four months before choosing a host which uses green energy credits. I would have preferred a solar power data center, and I think the idea would be popular. If you do this, I'd probably switch...shoot me a PM if you want to discuss the idea more. There is no saturation in this market, we're talking about selling electricity. The need is virtually infinite, the supply minescule.
