I get the feeling you need to be getting over 10k hits a day to be making good cash from it what do people think, is it work it ... or should i try other things
Not sure about hits, but 5000 unique visitors par day can cover most of the real life jobs daily earnings.
Depends what you mean by good money. I was talking to someone and he said that if he earned $100 a day he would consider that good. Where as if I earned $5 a day I would consider that excellent.
Adsense does pay you well If you have wisely chosen your niche and targeted the audience better, take my word those run of the mill software driven mashed up content sites wont work, or will not work to your liking But seeing your efforts bring cheer up on your face is a great feeling ......... I earn double than that of my day job from adsense, but yet to quit the day job.....since adsense is so unpredictable
It makes enough to cover the cell phone bills for me, my brother, and my parents. The rest of my bills are covered by CPM ads and affiliate marketing.
You definitely need a high level of traffic to benefit from AdSense. But if you follow some of the advice here, that should not be too hard to do.
I dont make good money from it but thats because i have a long way to go yet with many projects, and its like a supplement for me. But the potential is definately there for anyone, if you think and plan long term, because you want to make sure that you still have your adsense account in the future. Would take quite a lot of cash for it to be seen as good money for me in England. But for someone in Asia or Eastern Europe and with currency conversions working out better for some publishers in certain regions it can mean a nice little earner for many.
well by good money, i mean enough so that it becomes my job ... so say $40-50k a year Also, my site has been up for about two weeks and i have had a total of about 5000 hits ... with every day slowly increading ... is this looking good or should i work far harder to attract people to my site? If you have good key words and enough backlinks youll get your traffic.. and do well backlinks = $ in my opinion
I make great with Google adsense on several sites. Most peolpe talk smack about adsense but it pays my bills. I do make better when conversions are high with affiliate sales but google is steady income.

10,000 search engine visitors a day will bring you an average of $25 a day. It can be alot more or less depending on the the niche, but that's a frame of reference for you.
What niche is the best. Everyone always says depending on the niche but it never from their site. Its alway " a site they read about" in a forum.
