    Hi,
I received payment from adbrite and I found that local banks don't deposit US$ check. They asked to contact international banks. I contacted Standard Chartered bank. They said open an account of $500:(
The check is just of $40 but I will be receiving check of around same amount every month but I am unable to find how to deposit. Adbrite doesn't have any other payment option.
If any Pakistani knows the way...or any other person please suggest me the best way
    Thanks!

You better give your local bank account number to the person who will always send check to you. Then he can send money from any county to your account as a result you dont have to bother about those problem

Did you contact State Bank of Pakistan and Meezan bank for this? You can request wire transfer from Adbrite.

Find out what the bank charges are to clearing an international check. I suspect that after all the fees and charges, you might get only a few dollars on your US$40 check. For future sake, see if Adbrite can hold your check until you hit $100 or above.

See if Adbrite can cancel that check and deposit the $40 to your balance.

    Maybe this would help

    http://help.adbrite.com/index.php?action=artikel&cat=17&id=278&artlang=en

I would think that this means that you can tell them to stop payment on that check so that they can redeposit the earnings to your account and accumulated to the next check. At the same time, you can increase the minimum payment so that you get a bigger dollar check.

You can usually deposit us dollar cheques in Pakistani banks. Most banks allow you to do so even if you have a PKR account. They will probably cut something like $5-10 but it will clear. Adbrite will probably charge you $25 for cancelling your cheque. So its better to open a bank account at another bank and deposit your $40 cheque there. I suggest you do a search on DP in the adsense forum. You'll find a lot of Pakistanis deposit foreign cheques in local currency accounts. Also in future try and get cheques for $100 or more.

I think Faysal bank allows it. I know someone who works there who told me they allow it. Perhaps they are refusing you because of the small amount of the cheque. Anyway here is one other Pakistani who says it can be done:

You'll find a lot more testimonies if you take my advice and search the adsense forum on DP.

I'm an adbrite publisher also, you really need to open a dollar account on your local bank. deposit your check and wait until it will be cleared, and withdraw. You're check is for deposit only.

Yeah this is what happened to me when I got my first Google Check . I first contacted Bank Alfalah , they claimed that I have to create foreign currency account to cash money as the check is in the foreign currency . The same statement is claimed by Standard Charted . But finally I created a student account for free In UBL , Submitted my check with the Deposit Slip and I got the money in my account after a month .

Conclusion : Don't go for creating any foreign currency account , just Sign up for any Local currency account (PKR) and submit your check , If the check worth $40 , then you will get the money will be added to your account in local currency , Just they will deduct 180 RS for currency conversion .
    Hope this will help !

    Regards,
    M Brain .
