    I guess I didn't get the hang of your question the first time over. The post on which your comment goes live on itself has the PageRank I mentioned. That page doesn't need to be on the homepage to begin with and that has absolutely no relevance to it retaining its rank.

    So, effectively, you'll have a permanent link on a PageRank 'X" page for a pittance :)
