Let's say you own a social networking website and users can get 30% of all revenue generated in page they have created in that site. Those users are not familiar with AdSense so most of them will think like this: "I need more visits to my page to get more money and I need more clicks". So they will start clicking on ads in their own page just to earn more. In that case Google can ban all site, right? How can I prevent that? How can you even prevent that somebody who hates you won't do that in your blog? He can just start clicking on ads to cause banning.
You could contact the Google AdSense Team about that. Let them know, that you suspect some of your visitors doing 'clickfraud' on your site. In that case, you tackle the problem, before it evolves. You could also use Google Analytics.
I think there is a script or something like that which allows users to click on ads only a limited number of times.
themanbest do you know what is the name of scipt? That would be very helpful as I think it is the only solution for us. There is going to be x100 users who are going to start receiving money from us and it is impossible to track every single user if he is not doing clicking on own ads.
I would record their IP address and disable the ads on their pages. Place a statement on your site saying that users are not to click their own ads, and violaters will be banned. Let them know that Google is monitoring this site (even if they're not). and notify google of your intentions/worries. You cover all the bases and everything should be fine.
http://www.asrep.com/ ...found this to be a nice...they have free as well as paid program... the only downside is that this script consumes a lot of memory...nonetheless it would be great for sites having low traffic. Note: This is NOT an affiliate link.
