I read somewhere recently a discussion about having a Google Compliant landing page. What is that exactly? Does everybody use one?

    Thanks,

    Jon

So this does not apply if you are just using a carrier page?

They do not enter personal data on a choose your carrier page...If you're pre-populating fields, that would be a different story

GTAce, are you saying that if you have a carrier landing page, you can ignore the Google Compliant guidelines?

No, they look at the merchant page even if you have a carrier landing page. I got to know a guy who got his account banned last week. First he got a warning and his campaigns were stopped. He switched it back to compliant page and called Google, they released his ads. Then he changed it back to non-compliant page because the conversion sucks. Guess what? Adwords banned him the next week. Maybe he got banned for some other reasons so I'm not sure.

I don't think they check every single account, so maybe some idiots must have reported his site to google.

But if you use Azoogle offers, don't they all have compliant pages?

I don't know about Azoogle, but all Copeac top-paid ringtone offers as Flycell, Ringtones.net, Glamtones are google non-compliant. They haven't opt-in checkbox. I also would like to know how Webgenius and AJ22 are now promoting the google non-compliant ringtone offers.

    Ebizpoint dude,

3 of the offers you mentioned have Google Compliant pages, don't be lazy and do a little bit of research first.

For glamtones, just go to the search creatives box and type in 'google'.

Here's an example of Google compliant page for Ringtones.net http://ringtones.net/?tid=44 , it's from cpaempire, I know there are only 2 creatives to choose from, so you need to ask your AM about it.

Flycell definately has a compliant page.

AJ22 had already made a long thread about how he was using content network and out of the norm method to promote ringtones, so it's not easy to get caught.

If you look at the google search listing , all the ringtones affiliates are not using Google compliant page, so you need some guts to play the game. With that said, just go ahead and promote them, worry about how to make a profit instead.

It's not easy and be prepared to lose lots of money.

Cool... someone thinks I'm a Web Genius! :D

Flycell and Ringtones.net do in fact have Google Compliant pages... you just have to ask your AM if you're having trouble finding those specific offers.

That said... using Google Compliant pages will land you in the poor house IMHO. I have seen many of the larger ringtone affiliates who have previously promoted on Google, switch to just using Yahoo and MSN (which don't force you to use the checkbox on the offer page)

AJ22 had previously stated some months back that he does not use Google Compliant pages, because the way he was promoting them (first, sending them to an intermediate LP having nothing to do with ringtones)... he technically doesn't have to follow those stupid rules (having a checkbox on ur page), because he's not technically breaking their rules.

Poorguy, Thank you for tips. I've never used before the "Search for banner" box at Copeac. Using it I've found one text ad for Glamtones which is landing to google friendly page with opt-in checkbox. Also i've found one Flycell offer called "Flycell Clean Green Google Search" which is also google compliant. BUT these offers I mentioned about pay only $11.25/lead and $11.00/lead. So what ROI you can expect promoting such low paid offers especially through PPC, and using those low converting google friendly (checkbox, etc.) landing pages.
In the previous post i mentioned that I was using Copeac. Copeac doesn't have any Ringtones.net Google compliant landing pages. But thanks for the example.
