Beating a site with sitelinks to first position?

    Well you can see your sitelinks in google webmaster tools. You have to to still figure out how to find them. I have sitelinks for gr8lyrics but I rank 4-5 for my main 'generic' keywords. :)

    Yes it's possible, i have taken out sites with sitelinks on a couple of occasions. What will happen is typically before you outrank them, their sitelinks will "break up" and and they go back to a double #1 and #2 indented listing then you will slip in to #2 and finally #1.

    So don't give up it's possible, really push your major subpages also and don't focus on just homepage links.

    Im not lucky to have any yet but maybe in the future.

    Thanks for the encouragement sweetfunny, yeah i think thats a good idea about pushing the inner pages.
