SEO suggestions for my website...

Hi, I would love to get some advice on optimizing my website for search engines. I have tried my best so far, but am sitting on a PR 0 and not very good ranking on keyphrases (well, I am happy with that much since the site is supposed to be sandboxed atm).

So just take a look at the website, give me some feedback/criticism on how I can improve it or how I have ruined it. If something other than SEO is horribly wrong, feedback is welcome on that too.

    Thanks for reading!

ok, which keywords want to Traget in search engines ?

you've updated "deep sarchasm" only in the Title of index page and your Blog page and also other pages.

first i think, you can also update your Title with other proper keywords in all the pages of your site which you want to target.

and after that also look in the content , its very important for new and old visitors and search engines.

and keep hard work in back links from social bookmarking, Directories, classifieds, article submissions, blog comments etc.

    Thanks
    John

Regularly add fresh articles in your website. I have checked your website. No backlink and PR 0. I will never suggest you for link exchange. You have more option to increase back links. Directory submission and article submission will be beneficial. Insert meta tags in all the pages. It is new website so do not target page with highly competitive page. Long tail keywords will be benificial. Later you may modify the meta tags. Check heading tag of the page. It should be relevant to the title and the content. Back links are very important and better if get link from high authority web sites. Also submit your websites in dofollow social bookmarking websites.

You need to optimize your site with both Onpage optimization and Offpage Optimization.

Nope, not that I know of. I do have like one link on many websites, some of them are not in English. Is that a problem? Also, I didn't think I had 3k links...will check out what's up.

I changed the keywords recently, just before posting here, I had 10 keywords before. Then I went to Google Trends and chose the most searched for keywords out of those, "deep sarchasm" didn't even have enough searches to get a result.

I might, however, be doing black hat SEO without knowing it? I don't have any paid links, no link farms or anything, I don't know what could be wrong...

Edit: I see one of the websites linking to me got hacked, could that be some kind of problem as well?

Edit 2: I link to many websites in my posts as well, could one of them be the problem...

Don't bother with the guides the above poster mentions, you need answers for your problem fast. If you're not getting anything from forums then the best thing I can recommend is:

    1) Read Google's webmaster guidelines and make sure you're not doing anything they say not to. http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=35769

    2) Sign up a google account (if you don't already have one) and use all of google's webmaster tools (sign into http://www.google.com/webmasters/).

Get a google sitemap going and check the indexing problems they will list at webmaster central and fix them.

You need to cover the basics. Choose the keywords you want to go after (do some research) and then post content regularly with those keywords used in your posts. Be sure the title, h1 tags, meta tags, etc. all have your keyword in them. if you'd like to boost your power a bit, bookmark you site to delicious, digg and stumbleupon.

    you'll start seeing more traffic.

Considering how you basically repeated what's mentioned in the FAQ and guide that I linked to, I fail to see how this is poor advice - especially since they go into detail and teach things that the OP can use right away should he desire.

I only see about 11 actual links pointing to your site, and this includes links from your own domain.

6 of them have the anchor 'deep sarchasm', which as no surprise you rank #1 for.

2 of these links have the anchor 'deep sarchasm, humor, funny articles', and hey, you rank #1 for these too :)

I think checking out the links Dan posted will help you. Also, and I don't think Google has a problem spidering your site at all, but you might want to just fix up a few general xhtml errors. You can do that by going here, http://validator.w3.org/. I also looked at your CSS and was amazed at how much code was there, but it all validated OK but with a lot of warnings, so I think it's safe to leave it. Check that here, http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/. SEO wise, every little bit helps.

Now, no matter what terms you're trying to rank for, you can see from above that the anchor counts. You read this all the time in this forum, but just fix up those errors and get more backlinks with the anchor you're trying to rank for. Also, don't worry about the link from the hacked site, won't affect your site at all.

I just found out that w3c css validation of the site says that tens of things have the same text color as the background...could this be why google hates me? (It's css valid but says this stuff in the warnings)

Thanks for all the links guys, will check them out.

The last suggestion you will have to and have to increase no. of dofollow links pointing to your website...
The links which shows in yahoo is not much more important.
You need to raise up link popularity in google... do hardwork on getting good back links.

First of all you need to optimize your TITLE TAG. The Most IMPORTANT factor for Position and Ranking. I suggest you to include your MAIN NICHE Targeted Keywords in the Title TAG. Max 3 Keywords.

Optimize your Description. Include the 1st Main Keyword in the Beginning of your Description.

Optmize your Keyword Meta Tag: Include all the relevant keywords BUT i would be better if you opt for those keywords which are Less Competitive and More Searched.

With this stragegy you will assure Top Position in google with less competitors. Later on you can traget more competitive keywords when you get yourself a head start.

For Finding the niche keywords. I suggest you:
