Wow.. excellent. There are lots of experts around here.. I've been wanting to reach PR5 and I've done constant link building. PR4 only in 7 months. I guess some people are just that good or lucky.
Of course it is, i went PR0 to PR7 in about 6 weeks and all i done a was get 2 natural PR8 backlinks and a few lower ones. Another site i had went from PR N/A to PR6 in a month with just 7 backlinks. PR0 to PR8 is the biggest single jump i personally seen.
i got pr 3 in 4 months. Pretty hard to get pr 6. I dont tons of link exchange and that too related content and just got pr 3. I think i can get pr 5 or 6 in near future because google crawl many links and pages some time after
probably is extremly hard to get page rank 6, but if you work hard then you should be awarded with it
I was a Pr4 in 2 months but have not been able to get above that since... I have a feeling it has to do with the domain they bought...it could have either been an expired domain name, they could be spamming myspace, using blogger generator, trackback generator or some other kind of automated program which is tech. illegal I believe...
Well I got PR 6 in less than a year and a few PR 5 pages, but I built quite a few wordpress themes.. Thousands of downloads.. yahoo shows 14k backlinks the other time..
Yes this phenomenon can happen if your site is being rapidly crawled by the googlebots. One of my friends sites with a couple of inbound PR 8 links from quality directories jumped from a PR 0 to PR 4 in about ten days. He also noticed via google webmaster tools that his keyword list had 1 to 3 positions and was crawled just about everyday. He has since told me that the site has dropped keyword positions and has sat on PR 4 for 8 months even with the 1000+ links added. So I guess from his experience that although you can saw up the PR chart it doesn't mean the ranking will be stable or move any further.
I got a PR5 for my personal blog. I didn't even target that. I don't post regularly. It's completely random! I was so surprised.
While it will be extremely difficult and expensive it's impossible in my opinion. It's all about incoming links and internal linking after all.
