Hello, Right now i consider myself as stupid as i can be... I was watermarking a lot of my works, (the .jpg files); so i created an action that places my watermark, merges the image, saves, and closes it. But then i accidentally did it with one of the logos i created, and it took a hell of a lot of time to make. Anyway, it saved the PSD as a 1 layer image :S... I heard something about a backup photoshop makes. How can i access that backup (assuming it exists) to restore my file? Thanks, i really appreciate it! Nick
Oh what a nightmare Nick - have you had any luck fixing it yet? I cant think of a way of retrieving the original but hopefully someone will be able to help? I'm assuming that you havent made a back up copy or uploaded it anywhere?? Good luck Rach
Ouch, yeah that's a hard lesson to learn my friend. One i've learned a few times before i started saving everything twice. Once On System, and a second time on a back up external drive. Better safe then sorry.
Thank you all, now i've learned that there isn't any backup for photoshop, which sucks... BUT.. Actually i was lucky. I had 4 different versions of this logo, and he decided to use the 4th one (and i did this huge mistake with the 3rd version)... so i was actually lucky here =P I hope this helps me so i wont do it again hehe. Im very sure there is no backup. I suggest you look through your Files Again, You might be lucky. Best of Luck.
Yeah you got lucky there. Good thing. That actually happened to me a number of times too.. but unlike you I wasn't so lucky. XD
Haha deffinitely good luck xD Although i did lost the other version which i also liked =P Thanks you all for your help haha, and also just in case you're interested, doing a bit of research i saw that there are a few programs that make auto backups. So you can give 'em a try if this has happened to you =P See ya! ^^
