I got into making websites in hopes of making money, once I realized what was actually needed to make a sucessful website I started doing alot of research on DP and other sitesd.

I now have a few ideas for websites, but I am not sure if they will be sucessful or not, or if it's even worth it to make, but I am hoping for some advice!

Idea #1 - Arizona Travel Website
Summary - Compile all information one could ever need about arizona (activites, weather, crime reports, maps, etc)

Idea #2 - Digg "Rip Off"
Summary - Personally compile the "best of the web" articles that I find onto one website, just like digg, you click the link and it takes you to the original article

Idea #3 - Cheapest Gas Prices (Arizona + Comparison to US Average)
Summary - Report which gas stations have the cheapest and lowest gas prices in arizona, and compare them to the national average, or maybe even do multiple states?

Idea #4 - Image Hosting Website
Summary - Self Explanatory - A Site To Upload Images

Out of these four ideas, what would you guys say would be the most likeley to sucedd? I plan to devote 5+ hours per day to the website in hopes of revenue to supplement my income.

Any suggestion/help would be awesome, thanks guys!

If you ever do #3, how are you going to get all of those prices? I know there is a Google homepage plugin that has that information.

Either way, as long as you cover northern Arizona, I will visit the site.

but why do something that is already being done?
    http://gasprices.mapquest.com/
is a site that does the gasprices and I have found to be very accurate for my area.

I would suggest doing more research. Don't waste your time doing something that is already being done, do something that isn't.

    http://www.stevepavlina.com/blog/2006/05/how-to-make-money-from-your-blog/

I know your talking about web pages but the stevpavlina link above is an entry I found very enlightening, and can be applied to websites as well.

You spoke about making web pages to make money? If you live in Arizona, then #1 is your best idea of them. For the fact that you live in the area.

Idea #1 - Arizona Travel Website
Summary - Compile all information one could ever need about arizona (activites, weather, crime reports, maps, etc)

if you do go down that idea your going to want to do something so your not like the ones that are more then likely already on the web.

Discounts at restuarants and hotels could be a good start.

Having a fantasic web page isn't going to do you a bit of good if you don't market it. We all have friends and family, a little secret, word of mouth is still at the top of the list of marketing ideas. It is specially the best market tool one has when working with a shoe string budget. Print, write, on stiff paper your web link and give the link to all your friends.

Any suggestion/help would be awesome, thanks guys!

    Well you asked :)

Checkout www.detroitgasprices.com for a good example of how to do the gas prices. Prices are entered by the users, so they do the work for you.
