Would this work?

If you have duplicate content, the site that had the content first gets priority right? So only the copy will fail to get PR?

Therefore, is it okay for me to write articles for my site then submit some of those to ezine articles etc? Because I will still get the PR from ezine but my own won't suffer??

If you submit to any other place, and has a link back to your site, then you will ok. Even you publish your article later. Like I ask someone wrote article for me and submit to ezine, after ezine approve it(because ezine want unique content), and even google index it, then I post article to my own site, of cause the article link to my site. Everything fine, sometime my page display after ezine at google, sometimes in front of ezine. But all will be indexed. Because everyplace links you, so google will think you are original.

If possible, submit a summary of the article and include a backlink to the original article.

Or, submit articles after they are indexed by google.

The first site indexed by Google will get all the credits...
So submit your article after making 100% sure that your page is indexed already...

Sure, but try to make sure that your article pages get indexed first before submitting to the article directories. :)

I don't agree with this. We often put out press releases (same content) and they're picked up and indexed by smaller sites quite quickly (just because the bots happen to be on the site in question as the content is added etc) - I then see a larger (more valued) site pick up the same release and rank the article above where the smaller site had it first cached.

Yeah but the first importance is the first credit to your site first before other sites/article directory.

I think this makes the difference........

wait before your page gets indexed and yeah try and make some changes here and their before you submit your article to ezine articles..

this is a good way and many people who submit articles to ezine articles follow this.....
