Better than DP

If you found a forum that was just starting out and if you thought it had the potential to be better than DP, would you start going there?

What potential would you have to see to switch? What features of which DP has that you would want to be different? What features would you like added that DP doesn't have?

Ok...but what If the forum is just starting out and has great features (more than DP) then why not give the forum a chance and attempt to help them get more activity going?

While attempting this, DP had an error and would not let me post a poll ...

 

K...So for you its all about activity. Alright ... Now if it has a ton of activity?

 

If it had the same amount of members and activity plus features I still wouldnt go. DP has enough for me.

I just don't think some people really understand how difficult it is for an admin of a new forum to convert members, seriously.

Yep, I'd use a better version of DP even if it was small, just as long as it seemed to be growing pretty quickly. :]

No it's not. They couldn't include a poll because of an error. If you look at the link it's just a poll, nothing else. :/

 

Spam? How in the world do you consider this spam? The is a question a lot of people ponder but never ask. I've heard a lot of people complain about DP but I just got the guts to ask the question. I never stated that I had a site ... I stated there was a poll and due to DP's error I couldn't list a poll so ha. Report all you like, that just makes you ... well, I'll keep it nice.

Its pretty obvious you want to try to beat DP. Your first post is asking what it would take and your username tells me you will leave once people answer your question.

No, it is only obvious that you are assuming just because I asked the question. And no, I will not leave Why should I leave ... It's just a question. Many people here ask questions so I have the right to just as well as the next member.

I don't see anything wrong with wanting to have a forum that's an improvement of DP, or "beat" DP as you put it, because it is flawed whether you acknowledge it or not. Just look at all the scammers and the undeserved infractions.

 

Well, nothing wrong to visit another forum. If you want to beat DP, it might happen but you need to know well about DP first. You need to do the analysis why DP do have so many member, not just get some feedback from the member, but need your own observation and analysis.

You can know the trustworthy buy and trade is the strongest weapon on DP if you keep your eye open. How you going to take the action on improving your forum, think it by yourself

 

if that can have as many people, possible client, as DP and it would have an escrow functionality i'd go there

 

Wanting and achieving are two different things. Think of all the other forums trying to compete with DP and fail. Why? People dont want to start at a small forum when there are five other big ones they can join. Im one of those people, this is the reality of it. At every forum you will have scammers... it cant be stopped.

 

SOLUTION ... I want a one point solution for all my needs.

For webmaster related DP is the ultimate.. i definitely don't hang around here when I need Java solutions.. I'm at sun forums.

So as I said, Solution + activity = Successful forum !
