DPers, I need you guys help. I'm trying to get sponsorship / advertising from one of the biggest hotel in my hometown. We have discussed the basic idea like where the ads would appear and what I should do. However they want me to give them a little presentation on how the sponsorship will benefit them. Here is the site where they want to advertise. It's pretty good deal if I can sign them on. Please help what by giving me some ideas what the benefits would be. Thank in advance
Customers, publicity? How would the sponsorship work? Banner Ad? Maybe post an article(s) about them? They could benefit from being able to publish news release about events, offers, promotions about their hotel. All these depends on your deal with them + the quantity/demographics might matter too. Oh yes, an edge over the competition.
thats a really good question.. one of the benefits could be... more present in the city.. some times when people travel, dont know where to stay.. and if i see an advice of the hotel. i could probably know where to go...
The sponsorship include banner ads. I have another headache - of how to track the ads eg, no. of clicks. The ads will be at the header section - which is currently outside the module position. Gosh how to track it? The promised to review the ads after six months. The blog section is using wordpress - I'm not aware of any plugins that can accurately measure clicks on ads!

A better web presence, better SE rankings (maybe) due to more backlinks, more traffic to their site which in turn gives a bigger potential market to them. You could go on for a long time about the benefits
Thank everyone for all the responses. I just clinched the deal. , we agreed to work out the tracking system later. The site is pretty new - only 3 months old and getting them sponsoring the site is a huge relief to me. I consider it as not really bad deal - as they pay $350/month for the banner ads plus extra $ if I cover their events, promotion something like that for the next 6 months. We agree to increase the rate after the 6 months period ends. Thank a lot for the responses.
