A second logo design contest based on the same site design, but a different name. Looking to pay $50 for a very professional design. Payment will be made via Paypal. Sample site: http://207.210.85.146/~justinje/ Will be an HDR photography site, must work with this site layout. (A different site, but it works well for the look I am migrating my current site to) Looking for the final logo within the next 3 days. Site name (should also be the logo) HDR Japan. Name needs to include a secondary line of text that says one of two things: Okinawa Japan or Photo Blog. Final logo must be a tranparent packground PNG with original file provided. (EPS or Illustrator) Logo Dimensions are as follows: 317 x 88 pixels.
Is there any colours that you would like? Plus, the space that you have given is very limiting on how the logo can be made. Heres a rough idea.
Here's my submission: 100% vector format, hand drawn by me - a $50 job deserves a $50 logo. Can modify as required. 2 variations: 1. 2. Tested to work well on a wide range of coloured backgrounds - even black (it has a gentle border not seen here), as I assume you are using the same template which changes the site colour Edit: 3rd variation:
hand drawn? you sure you didn't take this image flip it then live trace it? because i got a really similar result to the 'hand drawn' camera in your logo.
Yeah used that photo as a template base, but I drew it with the pen tool in photoshop, by hand. I don't know what 'live trace' is..? Compare, your one looks crap. And I can post the psd for all non-believers? Mine: Yours: I can post up the actual file if you want. Please do not accuse me of plagiarism, I find your suggestions offensive. If you were to check my other work you will see that I am a competent vector-artist, so I do not appreciate your accusations. Thanks.
congratulations, you did it in photoshop. all my post was proving was that 20 seconds of live trace will produce similar results. p.s. 100% vector files are .eps exported out of illustrator
I have no idea what live trace is, and thanks for picking on me, I haven't seen you make anything remotely decent, so considering I started photoshop / gfx 2 weeks ago, why don't you back off?
picking on you? what is this, elementary school? all i said was your camera looked live traced, then backed it up with an example. i'm not even going to bother with this comment. two weeks, and you're already a 'competent vector artist,' eh? and don't bother sending me any more childish PM's, they just get sent to the trash can. i'm done now. sorry for clogging up your thread, forsh.
There was no need to say something untrue and unresearched. And you didn't say it looked like it, you accused me of using this 'live trace' - there's a difference. I'm only 17 years old so I don't know if that makes me 'childish' by your standards but I'd like it if you could respect me like any other member on this forum. Wow, some real freaks on here. Please can an admin clear this thread apart from relevant posts?
I gotta admit I thought you might have used the tool at first, but I tend to avoid writing stuff about people's entries if i can help it. No point of getting involved. You proved you didn't use the Live Trace in Illustrator anyway, so that should be the end of it.
