I gave this game an 8. I agree with twistedspikes about the stairs, OMG. And I really miss the character customization in Saints Row. I like being able to give my character tattoos, etc. I have craploads of money in the game and nothing really to spend it on. Oh, and the same goes for car customization. That ruled in Saints Row! I have always thought the driving mechanics have sucked in the GTA games, and this one is really no different. I have noticed that it is easier to win races and keep up with people that you are chasing. It was retarded in previous games that the "computer" would always drive so fast (and almost perfectly) during races or chases. And what is with all the graphics talk? Don't get me wrong, the scenery and outside world looks really good this time around, but the actual characters look like shit. They could have done a WAY better job on them in my opinion. All in all, I think they made some small improvements that were really cool to see, but I wouldn't give this game a 10. That's only reserved for video games that have the WHOLE package like BioShock or Call of Duty 4. Totally original storyline, awesome music, and beautiful graphics. A game that really sparks your emotions and sucks you in gets a 10. GTA IV is close, but doesn't have the whole package.
The people aren't that great but at least they're all more or less unique. In the last games they all only had a few different people which they just copied.
I play it on 360, i simply luv it! the way of getting drunk in the bar, good graphics and story. I just wish they worked a little more on controls though its good! and introduce some more vehicles, like the bicycle in vice city and many more rides.... anyways overall! its A++
I gave it a 9 It is a great game I agree with the annoying things already mentioned. and would like to add the fact that if you drive to a meeting even next to your car when your done someone has got in your car turned it round and parked it up. Why couldn't it just be in the same place lol. My second thing would be I was lead to beleive this one would have more gameplay to the story but I got it on tuesday and still completed it by sunday. (28 hours total, yeah I have no life) I wouldn't consider that a huge amount compared to some games. If I am totally honest best game I played for PS3 so far is Assasins Creed <- loved that game.
I don't know if I should be flattered or scared On an additional note to this thread, it really sucks to have your Xbox 360 die right in the middle of a GTA IV mission. Determined to beat this game, and then my optical drive went out. Won't read a single game. DAMN! I was just getting hooked to the story too!!!
lol and why would you be scared? It's not like i'm Cylon or anything (he knows i'm joking...) That sucks, hope your Xbox gets fixed soon. ps it did get a 10 in Edge. They seem to be giving a lot of 10's as of late.
