    Hi,
Web site indexing depends on you site, i my experience normally site index with 10-15 days if you site popular then it's happen with in a week and if more popular then it's happen in 1-2 day and some site indexed with in hours.

So in my point of view it's depend on your site.

Not one of you asked how many pages we are talking about here ... shame on you all. This is VERY important to how you answer the question. Anything > 500 pages will take a month or so probably. > 10k much longer than that.

If you are only talking about a dozen or so pages then I suggest you get friendly with pingomatic. "Pinging" your new pages there will get you indexed in a lot of engines quite quickly.

You need to wait for a month at least,
If you still not getting indexed than you need to revise your onpage optimization as well as need to revise contents.

My sites usually get indexed less than 2 weeks by submitting link to social bookmarks.

What do you mean by popular web site. How can web site be popular if it has been indexed recently?

So you submit web site to social bookmarks only? Do you use keywords when describing web site in social bookmarks?

I've just started another website and it got indexed less than 2weeks. What I did was to submit my website to most of the search engines (like alexa and entireweb), and submitted sitemaps to Google and Live.
As for my blogs, other than submitting to search engines and submitting sitemaps, I also use pinging services as well as social bookmarks. Pinging and social bookmarks are definitely a faster way of getting your fresh content noticed by readers.

Normally they take up to 2 weeks, but in some cases it can only take a few days if you have highly ranked pages pointing to it

I used to index my sites for hours. (not SERPs but indexed)
There were times when my sites got into SERPs for 12 to 14 hours.

ofcourse some of you have to make difference between getting your site indexed and getting your site into SERPs.

I saw that when I get around 15 backlinks and some of them are pr4+ DoFollow, the site gets indexed in few hours and gets into serps in 1 day.

    This is rough calculation, though.

It think it depends on the site rank and the age of site/domain

if your website is new, it may take 2-3 days. For fast result use webmaster tool and submit your website to good social bookmarking website.
