Wordpress 2.51 - Replying to comments

I've got my first comment this evening using WP 2.51. I've approved the comment throught the Wordpress Dashboard. The comment is in the form of a question.

How do I go about replying to the comment, I don't see an option in the Dashboard to reply to comments, or am I supposed to go to that specific post on my blog and leave another comment as admin so that I can reply to the question?

 

Go to that specific post and leave a comment that replies to the question as an admin.

 

Thanks, that's to bad that there isn't a way to reply to comments directly through wordpress.

Seems a little inefficient to have to visit the post just to reply to a comment, not to mention the fact that it inflates the impressions for advertisors.

 

I believe WP will also send an email to all commenter's to the post everytime some one responds.

Is this correct or am I mistaken?

 

That is optional. If a commentator voluntarily subscribes to a post, only then he/she will get the emails.
