Hello. Can anyone help me? I have never ever used RSS feeds on forums. I would like to test them out. First I need to know how to add RSS feeds to forums (vBulletin, and myBB).

I want some feeds that post topics in forums. I would also want some good feeds URLs if you have some please. I am new to RSS so I thought I would test them out.

    Thanks,
    BlueEew.

If you already have installed the hacks on your respective forums, it's matter to choose from the different feeds available according to those topics on your forums.

I would suggest get them from any of these RSS feeds directories:

    www.syndic8.com
    www.rssfeeds.com
    www.2rss.com

It's matter to copy and paste the RSS feed link by means of your respective control panels ;)

I used to have such hack running on a myBB forum but my forum is not actually online. I had a RSS both posting on every 6 hours basis per each category :D

You can find the hacks directly on both myBB official website and vBulletin's site forum, in which you need to be a registered member to download it ;)

That is the one I am going to try yes. :D

Also you know if I use forum feeds, on my forum. Will threads abd replies be posted as threads and replies on my forums?

Yeah, they should be. I have tried that modification once before too. If it is still how it was back then, then create a new user account - that posts that information - then assign it's user ID to the RSS bot stuff and it posts just like a normal member would, so threads and posts (and post counts) go up. :)

This is a default feature in Vbulletin. All you do is add a rss url and tell it what forum it needs to post in and it'll do it. It also supports multiple feeds, if you wanted more than one feed posting on your boards. You'll find it in you Vbulletin Admin Control Panel, towards the bottom, near the maintenance tab.

You should watch out what content you actually use with the rss feed.
You are just asking google to sandbox you

Thanks for that. I am thinking of just trying it on myBB now anyways just until I have finished testing. :)

Hmm what type of content would get you sandboxed?
