Chicago Police kill 150 pound cougar on city's north side

    Note: by "cougar" I am referring specifically to the feline (mountain lion, puma - specifically the Puma concolor), not an older woman who chases after younger guys.

    Anyway, Chicago police shot and killed a five foot long, 150 pound mountain lion that was literally wandering the streets of the north side Roscoe Village neighborhood - and a cameraman happened to catch the big cat walking past a Chicago cop as if he wasn't even there.

    Thankfully, no one was hurt.

    Damn, they were soooo lucky. That could of been so much worse. WTF, i guess there looking for food, anything trastic happened in the animal kingdom up that way that may have caused this animal to start strolling around?

    They've been migrating south from Wisconsin and Minnesota. This particular cougar was previously tagged by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
