Quality content on the landing page too. Site also has valuable content. Links to from landing page to other valuable content. Right?
It really depends, the term "squeeze page" is very broad. Landing pages, consisting of only one page tend to make Google a little upset indeed.
What do you mean by that... you need links on your landing page to other pages? Or that you just need other content on your site?
Quality content on the landing page too. - Not really Site also has valuable content. - Not really Links to from landing page to other valuable content. absolutely not necessary basically you need to ensure your messaging is clear and google and the visitor knows what you are offering. I have many squeeze pages that contain 90% text and a lead form. Nothing else. QS is great. Only difference is the messaging is CLEAR. Sign up or Buy now
What about squeeze pages which are set up to invite the visitor to check out the rest of your website? For example: You have a website about your business which recruits people to sell cars but want to see if you can entice people who are after selling motorbikes, to see if what you are offering, interests them instead. You create an ad like the following: Motorbike Sales Alternative? How about selling cars instead? Full information online. Pt/Ft hours. (ok not the best ad but you get the picture). This ad goes to a newly created page which has all the default menu options (which allows the user to navigate around the rest of the site), yet that single page's content focuses on why selling cars is a better way of making money than by selling motorbikes. You then give them an option for a 'free info pack' which when clicked on takes them to the websites' 'free information pack' form. What's your thoughts on this? It's basically a new landing page which better suits the ad and the search query, as opposed to just sending them to the homepage which will probably get a higher bouncerate. The idea is to create landing pages for lots of other keywords/ads which aren't directly related to selling cars, but along the same lines.
Totally agree. I have the same. However I must admit I found I improved my QS by linking out to my main site. It was a test and it surprised me. All I did was include a hyperlink in my logo back to my home page. No other links at all. Worked a treat!
I will agree with that, but I think that just tells Google you are more than just a squeeze page but there is an actual website behind your LP. However, I do not think linking to a 3rd party site has benefits.
