Last year I was wondering when Google will finally buy Adsense.com now it seems it bought the last few months or weeks. I didnt heard about it in the news... Someone knows the amount payed? Here is one of the last images of Adsense.com before Google bought it http://web.archive.org/web/20060202001331/http://www.adsense.com/ Now you can write Adsense.com and you will get the Adsense program from Google. Before was google.com/adsense
Thanks for the information, I didn't even know adsense.com actually exist. I alway go to google.com/adsense lol
LOL. This is old news. Google bought adsense.com over a year ago. When was the last time you checked adsense.com? It's been redirecting to google.com/adsense for awhile now....
They must have had it for a while cause I've been using adsense for the past couple of months and I always type www.adsense.com to get to it.
I wouldn't be surprised if Google did that. Plus AdSense is their trademark they could like sue him and take it away unless the domain was bought before AdSense started. Well I'm not a lawyer or a legal expert. If they paid then he's probably got a big smile on his face. lol
old news. the website movef to adsense2.com they must get paid a lot because on adsense2.com didn't mention about google steals thier company's name again. LMAO
Well, considering Google's piece of the Internet pie and that they have billions of dollars available (read that: Lawyers on call)... the poor sap that owns such a trademark (servicemark?) magnet would be lucky to not get sued for damages and cybersquatting. However, I remember reading somewhere that in reality, it is usually cheaper for the buying company to offer up to $10K to aquire than sic the Lawyers on it. After that, yeah, they can just take it from the owner. On the other hand, if the domain owner HAS pissed the alleged trademark owner somehow... it is back to being lucky if it is not less than zero. Wow! taking on Google, not smart.
If I remember the story when it was in the news, adsense.com existing before google created Adsense. Google then trademarked Adsense and the domain name was given over to Google for free (due to domain name regulations regarding trademarks or something). At one point the owners of adsense.com had a notice stating how google stole their domain etc... but what could they do at the time? Nothing.
I always use adsense.com http://www.jensense.com/2006/07/13/owners-of-adsensecom-are-fed-up-and-sell-off-domain/ <-- worth a read
Well...it can happen when huge money are on the game However this is not a news at all, it is actually OLD http://www.namenexus.net/post/google-buys-adsense-com.html
