So being 1 of the 2 most popular keyword on the internet if you have a "Free" in broad search your so called "competitor" results as defined by some quickly hit billions. If you are targeting a specific keyword , a better approach would be to narrow using "Free UK number" notice the " " this searches for website with specifically this phrase
Yes, did you follow the thread at all? or just read the OP and make your comment. This has already been pointed out! And as i said i was happy to be indexed by yahoo at all considering such a young site, even if it was for a single search a year.
That's great. Since whatever you did worked for this specific keyword phrase, I'd encourage you to do keyword research for related terms. Try playing around with keywords that have varied levels of competition, and see which you can rank for. I just checked another term in yahoo and for the term "cheap internet calls" with quote marks im in postion #3 and #4 and for the same term cheap internet calls without the speach marks im ranked #13 (Page 2). I also check things like "best voip rates" and im #1 & #2 with the quote marks and #3 for the term best voip rates without them. So clearly something going on that im not aware of, and ranking for keywords i never used to, will be interesting to see what happens in the next couple of weeks
