need advice on what WYSIWYG page editor to use

    Hi everyone!

I am a novice in website building. I am more than eager to build websites but I really find it difficult to learn Dreamweaver or Frontpage at the moment. :(

Can anyone advice me on what page editor (preferably WYSIWYG) should someone like me with almost no knowledge on coding can use with great ease, learn quickly and go build a website?

I need an editor that doesn't break codes and which would make the sites that I would build pass W3C validation.

Your generous opinion would be much appreciated.

    Cheers! :)

    Doesn't exist.

You've got quite a tall order there for someone who doesn't even have the time to learn Dreamweaver or Frontpage, both of which are technologies which even the laziest luddite could master in a day.

I think it is quite an exaggeration to say that one could master Dreamweaver or Frontpage in a day. You may find it easy to use both because of your expertise in them. I hope you could think more in a novice's perspective.

I don't intend NOT to learn any of these advanced editing applications eventually but I just don't have the time yet to do so at the moment. And because I have urgent need to build a site, I have ventured asking if there is any such web page editing program that would meet my current limited sitebuilding knowledge.

I'm sorry, don't mean to offend, but those are NOT advanced editing applications. They are designed to be the easiest and simplest out there. If you are a real novice, there is no quicker way to start than by using Dreamweaver or Frontpage.

Thank you, promaxstudio, for your generous advice. :)

That's the way to give advice, you really give something someone could really use, not just a mere expression of what you think. You give factual details, instructions.

    Again, thanks! :)
