VPS allows you to assign IPs?

    yes you can. i have 3 ips on my vps and i can add more. i can change the ip of any site, etc.

    thanks, is there a limit set by the host? or can you set unlimited IPs?

    You can add as many as you want, it's a VPS and you have full control over your Apache environment. Assuming you use WHM just go in to IP Functions then Add a New IP Address.

    Bu typically your IP's will be consecutive or in the same block, so if your trying to go all SEO Ninja having a farm on consecutive IP's wont fool anyone. :D

    since the physical server is partitioned into several virtual servers, each of the server has a different IPs
    so you may assign as many IPs as you want
