Graphics Contest $20 per design $100 to the winner

One question, when does the Voting end? and whom exactly is voting? ok that was actually 2 questions =]

 

where can I fidn the vote and what about the 20$ for every entry

 

Hey guys, ok well I am new to this forum and i really did not get a good handle on it yet. I can't seem to edit the original post from yesterday which shows that i submitted the work on time, so I am just going to post up the GIF and JPG here instead of going to any links and whatnot. Cheers

 

Has anyone recieved word from Gary Zaydman since the deadline has passed?...hmmmmmm if he does not respond soon after his own deadline, something fishy may be going on....

 

Nothing fishy going on here. Just wanted to say since we didn't receive the 10 entries that I was hoping to have. I want to go ahead and extend the deadline for the contest so that other people can have a chance to enter and participate. You can enter until next friday. You can still vote for your favorite design. I will count all votes. I just want to make sure we have a good pool of contestant to vote for. Thank you for everybody who has submitted their design.

I don't know about the rest of you guys, but it sure looks like a scam to me. Here it is the first week has gone by then the second with little or no response. I think we've all been scammed. I understand the chances we all take by submitting to things like this "contest", but it's just wrong.

Anyway, if you're still paying attention Gary, I suggest you make some kind of response to those of us who, in good faith, responded to your posts and submitted entries. Our time and talents are worth money and I hate being taken advantage of. So... if this isn't a scam of some sort, please get back with us and answer the questions posted. How are the votes being counted and where? What of the promise of money for each entry? Also, you promised plenty of work to the winner, so I'd like to know how much work and what kind of dollars we're talking about for all this work that we're competing for.

 

Hello Fellow contestants. Yes it has been way past the deadline, and i myself have PMed good ol Gary Zaydman to no avail. I do not wish to come to conculsions about him..he may be in a coma for all i know, but he is kind of pushing it. Here is the message i sent to him this last weekend to which he has not responded to yet, and i hope none of you sent him any PSD's of your work. Hope this all gets straightened out soon.

Look, i have been threw several of these things before and that is why i am quite suspicious when people who host these things do not respond on time, they ask people to do things for them in order for a prize or job, then they just steal their designs and never reply back, it is a common thing saddly, and if you do not respond to any of us, what are we to think? I would love to work with you if in fact you posted this contest in order to find someone to help you with your workload, but a communication basis has to be established."

 

Karloze has hit the nail right on the head. I didn't enter this competition just for the $20 or the $100 grand prize, but for the enormous workload Gary spoke about.

Unfortunately, I did send him the PSD file of my work, as was in his original requirements of the contest. One way or another, I figure it doesn't matter now. The work is done, the time is gone and I just plain out both. Not the first time and by my guess, not the first time for the rest of you either. But, supplying him with the PSD of my work gave Gary something to walk away with. He sent me an email last week graciously thanking me for being the only person to do as he'd asked. Well, it didn't really matter because the work was done and the time already gone. What could it have really hurt to take it the last step.

Well, over two weeks have gone by now and nothing within the last week. Who knows what's happened. Maybe Gary IS in a comma or whatever. The fact is, we're all out. Since I'm new to this forum, I'm not sure who's really in charge here. But what I'm thinking is reporting this to whoever the string pullers are and hope this stops some of the crap that seems to have happened here. I'm going to look into this and if anyone else thinks it's a good idea, maybe you could post something here in agreement. And to be fair, if anyone has a good alternative as to why we're all scratching our heads trying to figure out "what the hell?", then by all means, please do so.

well I'm one of the lucky ones and did not send the psd but I'm really pissed at the moment. I think if the digitalpoint team is not in charge we should all leafe him some feedback on his I trade thing (no positive one of course )

 

I didn't send a PSD of mine. When I saw that he said that the final design was to include the psd and all images used, I thought he meant the winner. I didn't know he meant he needed it from every entry...up front! That throws a huge red flag. There is no need for anyone holding a contest to require the PSD before they declare a winner. A jpg posted in the forum shows everything that the psd would, except the jpg is not editable.

I am very worried now!

I would advise everyone to NEVER send a PSD of their design to anyone before they were declared a winner.

Sorry about being MIA, I have been working like crazy. Not to worry. I will make good on my promise of giving the winner $100. Most of the designs didn't hit the quality I had hoped. But that is not a problem. Everybody please put in your vote for your favorite design here.
1 person 1 vote please. I will add them up all Wednesday of next week and paypal the funds to the winner.

Ok well who exactly gets to vote....cuz to be honest, i don't know who else is watching this right now other than the people who actually put in a submission, and when shall the voting end? If we are all able to vote, then it goes by default that I vote for myself, and what happens in the chance of a tie? Ok well I am glad this is starting to pick up speed again. Keep us updated please =]

 

Would you consider opening a poll? I think the only people who will vote within this thread right now are those that entered and those that tell their friends to come here and vote for them.
