What CTR is good for a video site

    I heard youtube costs google $1m a day to cover hosting, so they must make enough to cover that through adsense. what CTR is good for video sites? the one in my sig is 0.5% which is low as i heard 2% is the target

    its really depend on how you blended or make the ads stand out. mine is arround 1-2%

    2-3 percent CRT is good enough in case of Video site and for content sites, CRT of 5-6 is great

    WOW, 1M per day for hosting ? Where you heard that?

    Anyway, I think a CTR more than 1% is good for video sites.

    i think it was some spokes person. apparently they're losing money with youtube. they paid too much for it

    I'd estimate that you're doing well if you're able to sustain a CTR between 1-5%

    They would never lose money.. youtube is within the top five sites of the world and there are billions of hits each day on youtube.. so they would earn revenue accordingly... moreover youtube has got premium advertisers too from whom they charge money and show on a prominent basis

    I was getting 5% CTR on a video site, but it was pretty ad heavy.
