The link to the sharpnews site from the article isn't even there. And now it's supposedly YPMania... hmmm.... If it was all a hoax to get some free publicity then good luck to them....
I dont think he should sell it. Thats not buisiness/enterprise sense at all.. Right decision he did! If he has that many users, imagine the amount of revenue/cash he must be in.
His website is now worthless and he works in comet...where is the buisiness/enterprise sense in that ? It was just some newspaper gimick, i dont even think the offer was real.
I would have took the cash without a doubt, i dont think he'll get another chance to get that amount of money again. Although you never know.
I've applied to become a member of staff - hopefully, I'll be in btw YPMania is not a competitor to ThinkTeen
I would sell it, the craze can't last for all that long and when people loose interest he won't have anything.
I would certainly sell and do some investing. It has already been mentioned that he could hang on to it because numbers may go up, making it worth more. What happens if numbers and interest drop??
personally I'd sell, getting that much money at such a young age can be really handy. Would make for a great start in life. That kids is a hard worker though, he gets 2.500 a month from advertisers and still works 10 huors a week in a comet-store and he's doing four A levels. thumbs up for that kid, greetz, jobic
But that is 4 million! For 99% of the population it would be pretty hard to make that money in 20 years.
