    Big surprise here.

There will never be reconciliation as long as the government is associated with the occupation.

Because there is a foreign occupation. Occupations never go well.

He should line up holy books from each religion and pick them all off. Maybe for bonus points he could shoot threw the Q in Quran. That'd be a nice shot.

Who cares about the shooting of the book? Oh yes "tribal leaders". Jeez it's like stone age 2.0.

"I come before you here seeking your forgiveness," Hammond said to tribal leaders and others at the apology ceremony. "In the most humble manner I look in your eyes today and I say please forgive me and my soldiers."

That term only seems to be used for brownish types so I'd say no on Bush and a possible yes on Obama.

It was grotesque. It is being addressed. In life people will do grotesque things at various times. Sometimes they get caught. In today's world with cameras and video everywhere, such things will be caught more frequently. The guy should be reprimanded or recieve appropriate condemnation from his superiors and they should apologize.

For shooting paper? Would there be an issue if this was a magazine? I fail to see any issues.

The John Hagees and Christian Zionist fanatics would flip out if a Muslim was shooting up a bible.

And I'd be in that thread making fun of the insecurities of their faith as well :).

Tell that to the guys who flew TWO commercial jet liners for the first time of their lives into precision attacks on the towers. Most commercial pilots don't even think it is possible to pull that off for a veteran pilot, let alone a hijacker flying his first time out under duress.

How hard could it be to fly a plane, the hardest part is taking off and landing and that was done for them.

Also I was talking about guns and bullets not planes and skyscrapers.

The question is really how easy is it to steer an already airborne plane.

It is not that difficult to just keep it flying.

Yes, he is kidding you. When Soniq says something silly, he is compelled to follow it up with more silliness.

To do loop arounds and hit a tower?

I have a private pilot license, but it's limited to single engine aircrafts, and honestly it really isn't that tough to fly a plane, especially once it is airborne which they didn't have to do. The hardest part is the controlled crash (landing) which they obviously did not have to do as well.

Millions of people including many in Iraq. You know, the country we were supposed to be "setting free." It shows a complete lack of respect. What would you think (assuming you are a Christian) if some other country occupied America and shot the Bible?

Empathy is the key to all understanding. Without being able to see others views you have absolutely no true understanding of anything.

This isn't an issue of who's occupying what country, it's about shooting at a few hundred pieces of paper and actually being reprimanded for it. Whether the title of the book be Dog shit, Bible, or Quran doesn't matter, it's really not relevant.
