Does anyone run a educational related site? I would like to know how does adsense pay for educational related site. The topics can be vast... From Physics to commerce.
Luckily, Adsense pays quite well on Educational Sites, its just driving traffic thats normally the problem.
Well that wouldn't be a problem for me.... I have a great idea.. Which I am sure it will work... Please ask what it is... Just wanted to know how adsense pays... Anyone owns a educational site??
I have two that are in the educational field (see sig.). Like milofi said, getting traffic is the hardest part, but not impossible. There is also a large swing in traffic as summer hits and people searching for that content usually go on vacation and stop searching. Of course, depending on what niche you are in this might not be a problem.
icekid, although i dont know how much the ads pay in education, just make sure you have nothing to do with those essay writing services, google doesn't like anything to do with those, but im guessing your already aware.
Topics related to paying for college do well on my site, but I also think there is a pretty wide range of 'smart-pricing.' CPC and ECPM is good, email leads are a few dollars each... Of course there is a big difference from scholarships to financial aid or student loans, so I imagine if you're doing resources on particular subjects you might find each one is priced differently. "Sign up for our poetry contest" or "Sign up for our online computer class" - I would imagine a big difference in advertising demand / value.
I find on my site, that is all about grammar, spelling, and writing, that the banners and the links to do with free courses and free learning information does really well. I haven't tried any student loan ones yet as my site is just aimed at students. I may add a couple and see how they get on though.
Mate, this is a webmaster community, not a teenage immature one! How did he just 'pwn' us with that comment. He just said he has no trouble getting traffic.
seriously guys I just meant I had no trouble getting traffic what if my topics are really interesting and people would visit only for the fun of it.. Different countries have different time of vacation... That way if I had traffic equally divided among countries I wouldn't have a problem I think. What do you think guys??
