ok now as u have said...let me go around a bit and explain a bit more to non indians here that india is not what you are saying it to be.....

1.once upon a time there was this india ruled by politicians,business tycoons and movie stars......
but india today is different........for example look at what happened when HRD minister of india Arjun singh made a law for reservation of OBc in education institutes.....? all of india(mainly youth) protested......draged the govt. to the supreme court......and i the end it was supreme court of india which had the final wording......

2.once upon a time there was this india famous for its license raj. where business and money was only available to the selected.......
india today has a powerful middle class with world's largest purchasing power....this is the reason everyday a new MNC enters the indian market.......

3. once upon a time there was india which was known as the land of snakes and magicians.....
but look around......today 4 out of top 10 richest in the world are indians...

my fingers are tired so cant type more.......but i think this much is enough

India`s economy is developing at lightning speed

India foreign reserver is increasing at huge speed

per capita income is increased

we have reached very near to our expected growth rate

If any multinational company wanna earn or wanna do good business then they cant even think in their dream to ignore India...

if you wanna see where India have reached then come see
Hyderabad , banglore

if you see the tech park of Hyderabad, banglore then u`l know that where India has reached .all big companies are trying to get some space

come and see the size of research center of Microsoft , Google in India, then you will know what India is and where India has reached

you wanna see infrastructure development

then come to Delhi , New Mumbai , Noida and then comment

just sitting there and commenting never work , do something to prove yourself

we Indians know how to earn , we have capabilities to bring gold out of coal, Indian youth is fully charged to takeover this world So Be Carefull

And China , Korea , Canada etc. have all tried to enter the world of cricket a lot of times but they lost to teams like Bangladesh .
Example : They've tried to enter the world cup a lot of times but always lost .
EDIT : And I hope you know about IPL . Its paying the winning team more than they are paid by ICC in the WC .

Refutation :
1) HOw do you explain Laloo and Maywati coming to power - on the planks of mass illiterate ignorant people. We still have reservations for ST,SC, and other classes.
2)India still has poor purchasing power, see its ranking in per capita income. We have a Huge population which is a burden to the economy. There is not enough water and power for them.
MNC enter here because of cheap labor. People can be employed cheaply while people in the native country of the MNC would not work for that pay.
3)Top 4 rich people are due to the manipulations in the stock market. They control the stock market and govt does not do anything to contain it.

I am not SAYING other countries are good but India still has a long long way to go.

With a debate now raging over whether further foreign aid programs financed by U.S. taxpayers are justified in the post-Cold War era, a review of the development experience of the recipient of the largest amount of foreign aid is instructive. India has received more foreign aid than any other developing nation since the end of World War II--estimated at almost $55 billion since the beginning of its First Five-Year Plan in 1951.

(1) It has long been an article of faith among development economists and policymakers that foreign aid is a necessary and central component of economic development, yet the record of Indian economic development since 1947 belies that view.

India has had one of the lowest rates of growth of all developing countries and remains one of the poorest countries in the world after almost 45 years of aid-financed, centrally planned development. Foreign aid has directly financed and sustained India's centralized planning and control framework and thereby financed the growth of one of the noncommunist world's largest and most inefficient public sectors. In 1988-89, 101 of the country's 222 largest public-sector companies recorded losses and contributed to a federal deficit five times as large, in relative terms, as the U.S. budget deficit.

The US fed India $55 billion in economic aid and also sent most of its money to your workers who helped eat away at the US economy...

and as the US retreats from sending our money to India for aid, and work to be done, where do you suppose your economy will go??
