had my site for a while now, but...

Hi, I created the blog a while ago and I'm not really getting any visitors, eventhough I've been adding content. According to google analytics its 2.1 visitors/day, and the bounce rate is 46%, which is very bad.
I submitted my blog to BlogCatalog and waiting for approval, really don't know if that would make a difference.

    My blog: ipharmsource.com

    Any suggestions?

What's your niche? How many indexed pages do you have in Google?
Did you do a link building campaign? Are your articles original content?

most ppl love to live in a natural world and thus have little interest in pharmaceutical worlds
thus you may have created a site entirely focusing on earning adsense and totally forgetting what people love to achieve ....

you should look at G trends and would most likely see that there simply are no masses of surfers that bring you a number of visitors you would love to get.

you need thousands of pages unique content
you need content that is IN NEED by millions
you need top SERPS to get a tiny share of the global traffic

STOP thinking about $ - focus on providing/creating answers and solutions to top issues of our global society
then work for thousands of hours to create that content - year after year
after a few years all your world looks different from now.

forgot all those blog catalog-like sites as traffic sources
    ppl use GOOGLE to FIND
if you are in the top 3 or max top 10 serps in G - then you get traffic IF you have massive and attractive content.

you guys are funny guys in modern times !!!
when I started 1997 - I was so busy creating and producing and SEOing, for many years - some 5 or more, before I started to think about small things in life like traffic or adsense .... I started all that some 7 years later in 2004.

It's not about the money, the topic is purely out of interest as I am a pharmacy student. So really it's not about adsense, but more of traffic and ppl being interested. But seems that they're not as you mentioned.

My focus was not to write my own, since it wasn't really a personal blog but rather a scientific one. I wanted to bring articles and news from different places and compile them to one place, my blog.
So am I in the wrong direction?

Hopefully you rewrite that content otherwise your site won't rank high in Google (duplicate filter).

the goal and purpose of www is to write, to create all your OWN .. so each and every site is unique

to collect and rewrite or "recompile" content and data found out there is just the opposite of the www's goal.

    in addition
    ppl need health
    natural solutions
after decades of pharmaceutical and unaffordable medical solutions its time again for natural God-made solutions affordable by all

    thus
few if at all are interested in the kind of topics you "recompiled"
the lesson of YOUR life ( and other's as well ) is to create your own rather than copy others stuff.
what else would be the value of your pharmacy study if you have no expertise of your own ??

Your bounce rate is due to ppl reading articles and going back

    To increase traffic, do SEO.

Build lots of backlinks. Add new content in your site on regular bases.

Try to get some back links from high PR pages.

you just have to do link building and look for related and'or topic specific sites, blogs, and online communities where you can promote your blog

Rewriting is probably impossible because these are scientific articles, reports, clinical trials, so I would be wasting time writing those.

What communities are you guys talking about? I submitted mine to blogcatalog. Any other examples?

I'm really new to "link building", don't know what to do. I got a pingback from another blog to one of my articles, that was a start....i guess.
