well then I believe you can do it 100%. I'll be starting this summer and will be doing other things too including offline work ;D
Actually your goals are very realistic. I will be hitting $3,000 a month here soon, and I have been doing this for a year and 2 months.
I have total of 6 reseller hosting accounts from different Providers, and will be expanding to more, its because I don't like all my eggs in one basket. That way I will not loose all the sales when server goes down. I think I pay less than $100 per month for all accounts. Its estimate, haven't calculated, because I know its negligible.
I use wordpress as content management system & Frontpage as html page editor For php, I use wordpad And I design my own templates.
Best of luck with your journey. Your forecast is realistic, but you will need to word hard for that. I wish my dream come true in 2011, when I hit $1 Million/month
CPC is good. But its frustating. This week im averaging $250 a day. And 3 days i earnt $450 a day. And 4 days around $75 a day!. So unpredictable
You should get used to it in Affiliate marketing. In adsense I used to get almost same amount of clicks and revenue every day.
Hall of Fame Post...thanks for this! One question though, you say you run 100 sites, and you try to post at least once per month, wouldn't your sites have very little content on them then? Please explain a bit about your posting schedule or your website updating schedule? What is you time management routine? Thanks again!
I try to launch a site with atleast 100 pages of real content. And then 10-12 pages per year per site on average. Higher updated revenue generating sites are updated more frequently, 5-10 pages per site per month.
So let me get this straight..if I am building a Wordpress or Blogger blog, once I have over 100 pages of reviews, I should actively promote it..for me I have a blogging comment and directory submission schedule that works well....than all I need to do is update my site once per month? My question to this is will my site site be in the SE's? Because for a brand new site/blog...if you quickly get up and running with 100 pages...and than just put out one page a month...your PR will only be around PR1 or so...am I right? What do you do to overcome this low PR?
You're first mistake is posting on Wordpress or Blogger or any other site you do not own. Get your own domain name. Put a wordpress blog on that if you want to build up your own site. Next the amount of pages you have has nothing to do with PR. PageRank is due to the links to your site. Get high quality one way links and you will be at 3 or 4 with no problems. Also there is a time factor the OP has been at this for sometime now and as such he has a good trust score with Google and will always do well with his methods. Most sites do not pop out with 100 pages initially....o to do so would indicate to Google something is up. Time begets quality...one link a day one page a day.....that mantra has worked for me for years. Algorithms work on detecting averages and spikes...averages are good....spikes indicate artificial methods typically,.... I'd give away more but I think I've given enough secrets already...
Hows this people. UK Payday has an EPC of around $150. So far my adwords campaign, from highly targeted keywords have not made profit. They are even though. So i have got in contact with them, i think there may be a problem with the tracking code. Seems weird.
Thanks for your input Sem-Advance, I really appreciate it and enjoy the advice you give throughout various posts. I usually don't post much but this topic has my thinking, and scratching my head. I have always been under the impression that you must keep updating a blog in order for your pages to stay ranked in the SE. I am currently doing something like this with a few domains...where I post alot of content ie. about 200 pages and than try and update once or twice per week. But I think this is overkill doing this just on one niche...I want to have tons of sites, like the originator of the post does. 100 sites+ seems like something that I can do. But I have trouble understanding why it is enough to just post once per month after all of your content is up. Is it really enough to keep yourself ranked in the SE's? what other offsite promotional techniques do you use. For me I have always tried the bare basic simple method, and here it is. 1) I develop and prepare about 50 to 200 pages of content...these are all reviews with Affiliate links, some to Amazon products other to Clickbank products. 2) I release the 200 pages, about 10-20 per week, until they are done. 3) I continue to post a few times per week. 4) I begin an intensive blog commenting schedule, gaining about 20-30 links per day. 5) I use a DP service to mass submit to directories. 6) finally against what everyone says, I pay $299 and submit to Yahoo Directory. Am I doing something wrong? Should my inital 200 pages not be affiliate links/reviews, and only pure contenet? what offsite promotion do you guys do? Thanks for all your help! You guys are heros!!
Yahoo Directory links have been the best investments i have ever brought. Immediate high rankings with Yahoo.
You're welcome Its nice to see some people read and pay attention.... New content simply helps bring the spider back and indexing new pages....aka Spider Food. 1. If you are linking to the affiliate programs only that would be seen as useless...might want to link to wiki, authority sites etc as well. 2. Is this content material you have written or rewritten?? Again I think the issue is your pumping out too much too quickly for the niches involved. You're also pumping out more than Google will eat....look at server stats...Google will come by pick up a page...return pick up a couple pages...return pick up a few pages.... 3. Can't hurt to update...might want to do 1 page per site per week. 4. Probably shooting yourself in the foot at that rate youre amassing 1,000+ links per month which again depending on averages of other sites in the niche may be creating a spike. 5. Mass = artificial ...nuff said..... 6. Actually Google says to submit to Yahoo Directory so does Sem-Advance and a few other SEOs who know the value of such.... Quality over Quantity wins everyday and twice on days that end in Y
