upto some extent money can change you. I believe that money beyond a certain point can actually complicate life rather than improve it.
But in the end the money is what made you change, even though it was in you the whole time. If you didnt have the money it would still be inside you, you just dont have a reason (the money) to change.

I disagree with almost all of you. By far, the greediest and most corrupt people come from the lowest economic rungs. That guy who stole your car stereo? It wasn't Bill Gates, I'll tel you that. It was Leeroy and his buddies who sold it for crack money. I don't think that money has the power to permanently change anyone. If Leeroy won the lottery, he would spend it on hookers and blow, and in 2 years he would be back stealing from you again. His underlying flaws were there all along. Even though there is some amount of luck with getting money, those who are able to KEEP money are not lucky. They are generally hard working and are accumulating the wealth to better their situation. It is extremely hard for anyone to become wealthy for any length of time and not contribute something to society.
Very eloquently put and I agree wholeheartedly. I think this whole misconception about money changing people is more about the journey and struggle to get the money changing them and then when "old friends" come to cash in on their success, they see them as "changed" (usually for the worst) as they aren't willing to share their hard earned success.
