    Agreed.

Plus a lot of credit cards are changing their terms. Whether you carry a balance, or you are a deadbeat (someone who pays their balance off every month).

Getting a bank loan is your best bet.

    Hi All,

A few tips about seeking funding...

    1. Usually, the first people you get to invest in your business --friends and family --their funds are eaten up when you get started. Make sure you have people lined up for about 6 months of funds. In my case, I always seek funding and in my second round for a project I had two funders lined up per month for months.

    2. Since the project kept doing well, month after month, I told new people coming in that they had to pay an ever *increasing* amount to "get in" because each month that went by meant that I was closer to THE SUCCESS. B>)

    3. Count on your expenses BEING 2X projected and your costs 2X projected. Then you'll have a more realistic grasp of what it will take to make it.

    4. Have respect for those who have made it --now you see why the term "Risk and Return" is said.

    Success,
    Sam

Sarcasm? Even amazing ideas need to be put in front of a lot of people or they just wont catch on.

The site im talking about making isnt scammers db. I tried to make that site simple and straight to the point. It is going to be one of the sites to go along side this new site so I will be adding a lot more when the other goes live.

$25k would be enough to get a decent month of advertising then its all viral after that so I wouldnt be so afraid of the idea being stolen.

I could probably pay it off after the first month if I wanted to.

All I need is a first month or two of big advertising and then the users will be doing all the advertising for me basically. After that, minimal advertising will be needed.

if you reside in the united states, trying applying for a federal student loan. the interest rate will be much lower than you credit card company and you don't need any credit.

A lot of members have rightly guided you about starting small so that you can build a successfull online presence and revenue generation, based on that build some reputation for yourself so that potential investors are confident about business model and it's viability and trust.
Asking for huge sums of money right at the beginning will always backfires and invites only questions and not money ;)

Enough of the starting small "suggestions." I want ways to start big... not small.

I would have to use that money for tuition and such though. Right?
