Hey everyone, I'm new to this site and just created a blog with adsense on it about a week ago. My site is http://www.convolve.blogspot.com and I'm looking for some comments on it, helpful tips on the website/ads, and also tips on how to earn traffic. I get around 1-2 visitors a day but I'm pretty sure that there the same people. I don't have much content on the page yet since I started a week ago but I'm pretty patient when it comes to stuff like this.

Remove the ads and work on driving traffic. If you have ads you're just going to get frustrated because you're not making any money and you won't make any money at this stage.

Focus totally on adding content and getting links. Getting links is easy, but it takes a lot of time. Because it takes a lot of time, lazy people won't do it.

One way to get links is to comment on blogs with NoFollow. Browse blogs, leave comments and leave a link.

DON'T comment spam. Meaning don't leave a comment like "Nice blog!" then try to leave a link. It will get deleted.

I allow people to leave links in my comments if that comment is good, and is related to the topic. It's needs to be a least 1 short paragraph.

The more links you get, the more traffic you will get. It's not rocket science, but it's not for lazy people.

For traffic, check out linkreferral. Takes some effort on the bloggers part but you can get very good traffic

and, of course, you need more content

Good advice, but should I take off all the ads now?

    Is linkrefferal against Google's TOS?

Write more original content. As much as possible in fact. Then start a link building campaign.
After a few months you will start ranking high for a lot of keywords and the traffic will increase significantly.

Don't remove the ads. It will bring no good.

"Traffic, search engine ranking" and ads have no relationship.

Keep the ads, and build backlinks for your site. Try to improve your search results ranking.

I just got done creating a original Top 5 list on my site. Check it out and tell me if you think it will drive traffic. I'll keep the ads and add more when I get more traffic? Also, does that mean I should use linkrefferal because I don't even know what it is yet. And backlinks are links that you leave on other site's correct? O yea, one more question, Does anyone know if its against Google's TOS to have a video that has curse words in it on your site?
