problem with paypal.

I have a problem with paypal. I've recently wanted to get new hosting, so i found one.

I no longer have a bank account, but my paypal account was verified by that bank account in 2005, but i've moved years ago, so i don't use it anymore.

Anyways its still attached to my paypal account as the primary funding source.

But i knew i couldn't pay from there, so i got a debit card, and was going to try to pull funds from it into the paypal account, but i couldn't find an option to do that on the paypal's site.

SO i just added the entire debit card to my account, and has it listed as backup source or whatever.

So i went to order the hosting last night, and then paypal says

but the account doesnt exist. It says it'll take 3-5 days or whatever to process. So whats going to happen with that? When it notices that there isnt a valid account there it'll automatically take the money from the debit card?

Will i get in trouble for the bank account? I forgot it was even on there. I usually send funds to my account rather then withdrawal from bank or debit.

Also it says that the transaction was completed. But again no bank account, and also no money in the paypal account. Nothing has been deducted off the debit card, so paypal paid that to the host and then will later on take the money out of my debit?

    I'm confused.

i sent a support email to paypal earlier yesterday and still no response, so i don't know whats going to happen with this.

Does anyone know how this works?

The money will roll back into your paypal account with a levy of a small amount. Why dont you withdraw your money to your Credit card?

I haven't paid anything yet. All my money is on the debit card, but paypal thinks it's going to take money out of an old bank account that doesn't exist anymore.

So my question is is that after it realizes that i'll take it from the debit card instead?

Paypal already paid the host, even tho so far it hasnt took any money from me.

Actually I do not think that Paypal paid the host as yet because payment from bank account would result as an e-check transaction and it can take between 5 to 7 days to clear. It may show complete on your end as it just mean that paypal procedure is completed and the request has been sent to your bank. In several days, paypal will get the notification that your account is no longer valid and the transaction would be declined with fees levied to you.

By the default, I believe the withdrawal sequence is Paypal balance followed by Bank Balance then Credit Card/Debit Card.

However when you make a purchase, I believe that if you have the debit card verified, you can change the order of withdrawal from the credit/debit card first before the bank balance.

It may not be a bad idea to remove the bank account from your paypal account since it is no longer active as you are supposed to keep current data and all that.

Paypal's customer care is very nice. They had only given me a trick to get the money out of my limited accoun a year back. they help their customers upto the fullest. So call them again and get your problem solved.
    Goodluck.
