Here's how this thread is going to work. Post a link to your website and give a brief description of both the site and the niche your're competing in. Then take a look at the post right above yours and think of some truly unique marketing ideas based around their site and the niche they're in. The next person that posts repeats the process, posting a link to their site then giving a few unique marketing ideas to the person that posted above them (YOU). Get CREATIVE. Go all out, be outragious -make your idea something unique, something that hasn't been posted on DP a thousand times before. In return the person posting after you will think of something original and specific for your site as well. Remember: The more you give the more you get. If you open up with your ideas you encourage others to open up more about their ideas as well. You can only repost your website to request new ideas every two pages. So without further ado, I'll be the first link in this chain. Keep this thread going on and on guys, we can learn a lot from the ideas we brainstorm here for others. My website is Deepthroat Gaming. Not online til early June. It is a video game website that aims to attract both female gamers and male gamers alike. One unique marketing idea I've implemented is a contest for female gamers where they send in creative and hot pictures of themselves illustrating their gaming passion. The winner recieves a front page feature on our website and sexy lingerie from our catalog. I launched a myspace page to start getting the name out there before the site launch. myspace.com/deepthroatgaming
Not allowed to drop links to sites that we own in the forums. Also not for nothing but the sexual connotation of your domain will turn off most women...
Ah. I didnt know that. Then dont post a link to your site simply describe the nature of it and the niche youre competiting in. BTW, my site name isnt a a sexual connotation its wordplay and a reference to something in the gaming world.
It is a sexual connotation due to a famous porn movie staring Linda Lovelace and it was also used in a political scandal. These were in existence long before online gaming and most women would not subject themselves to the possible ridicule that could come from being a member of the site. Of course thats thoughts from a marketing perspective. Be well!
