I heard it several times, that only 1 google ad is better than placing 3, and you get paid more per every click. Is it true? have you tried it?

Yes it's true, with one ad typically the highest paying advertisers are shown. When you run more ads you start to display lower paying advertisers resulting in a lower value click.

Yes, but at the same time, you have lower chances of getting clicks... so placing 1 ad is good only when the price per ad is like 3-4 times higher than when you place 3 ads. Am I thinking right?

True yes, more things effect it besides just 1 ad or 3. For instance if your in a consistently high paying niche like "Mortgages" the extra advertisers pulled on to the page by having more ads are still going to be paying a high click price.

Also tracking ads by channels will help determine if it gets enough clicks to leave on the page or not. I've tweaked sites where a footer ad unit was lucky to get a click all month, so dropping it did have a positive effect on earnings.

Each site is different, just experiment to see what works.

I think it all ends up being the same.

    With one ad:

On one day, you get 10 clicks, and $3.00 (higher paying clicks)

    With three ads:

On one day, you get 30 clicks (more advertisements), and $3.00

Just experiment and see what works for you.

If that was the case though people would put only the 1 advert on their website as you dont really want adverts flying around everywhere!

Right, it is not usually the case. But in certain situations, it is.

I think this is basically a trick as per what i think. Like Google says that it serves you the high paying add, so if there are lots of add then it will also have less paying adds which is not something we as publishers would like. So, like the less amount of adds we would have the more value they will have. So place less amount of Google adds.

Not sure, but for me, many ads perform same as less ads.

I had only 1 ad unit in a site. I changed it to 3 ad units and 3 link units, and my earnings increased, CTR increased, and the earning per click was the same.

it really depends on your site, visitor, and ad placement. it is usually true that less ad earns more, but that also depends on how well your ad is positioned. if you have it in content where no one can miss the add, then one ad is good. i myself however like to use 2 ads mostly. one for backup in case the main ad doesn't appeal to some

I've send messages to google and they said it's ok, there are many big sites that have content like mine and they use adsense too so there is no problem, it's not porn, it's celebrity pictures... anyway i'm not making any money with adsense on that site so I will stop using it anyway...

Wow, good move that's really not ok with Adsense. I don't know what pictures were up before when it was reviewed but the ones on there now have zero clothes and don't fall in to the "just celebrity pictures" category.

Use another network to monetize your site, because if you run Adsense on that one you will eventually loose your account.

I put some smallers ads but nothing appears.
I tried squares (250x250, 200x200, and there's another litter one, 160x180 i think...) but there are no ads served...
Now i tried the vertical skyscraper, it's pretty 2-3 cents per click.
waiting for my credit card to be released and then goodbye adsense :) moving to bidvertiser.
