Are you kidding me? I'm not saying it's a bad start but, I got more than 1,000 posts on the first day (only 50 posts by me) and more than 80+ members. Now it has close to 120,000 posts and 3,000 members.

No real secret as such... My forum was about my favourite sport, football, so I just made it a small cozy little forum. I invited people through MSN Messenger (close to 30 people), and most of them wanted to become mods, so I told them to be a mod you have to refer a lot of people + contribute to the forum. They all did. Then when I felt some people were starting to leave, I hired a forum poster to post 50 odd posts and tada! everyone was back And now its rocking. The forum has over 802 people viewing it (including bots + guests). I'm ranking VERY high in google for a normal soccer term.... Organic traffic my friend
congrats on the success, i might start i think ill start telling people to join my forum on msn considering there is always 200 people online lol good ideas there, ill do those things on my next preoject which ill sart tomorrow
